Burak Philately
«Burak Stamp House» has been established by Yasar Temiz in 1981 for the trade of collectible stamps and post materials.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Yasar Temiz has organized his first philately auction in September 1983 at Sheraton Hotel. In the late 1980's the auction organizations has expanded after an increasing interest for postcards, ephemera, stock certificates, fez labels, bills and bonds by the collectors.
Increasing business volume led Burak Stamp House to become a corporation. In 1994, Burak Stamp House changed its name as «Burak Philately Co.» Today, Burak Philately is organizing auctions including ephemeral and philatelic pieces as well as antique objects, paintings, calligraphy, maps, engravings and medals.
Burak Auction House
Burak Auction House has been established as second generation of Burak Philately in 2004 by Burak Temiz, son of Yasar Temiz.
Burak Auction House is located in Nisantasi Hak Passage and organizing auctions covering stock certificates, bonds, postcards and photographs, firman, paintings, calligraphy, maps, engravings, rare books, antique objects, lottery tickets, banknotes.
In addition to above pieces, Istanbul Interior Ferry Line models and lead soldiers are also available in Burak Auction House store.
Burak Philately & Burak Auction House has contributed to many books written in collectibles subject by creating a community of collectors who are interested in ephemeral documents.
